He was a Brand Manager at Procter & Gamble (Mexico); VP Management Supervisor at Ogilvy & Mather in the U.S., Canada and Mexico; and until 2002, President of the fourth largest independent Hispanic Agency in the U.S., La Agencia de Orci.

Prior to joining Acento, Roberto headed Orci Management Consulting, with a mission to guide companies in profitable business growth in the Hispanic market. His clients included companies in the areas of food, beverages, publishing and entertainment, as well as advertising agencies.

He has helped corporate clients develop closer ties to organizations such as NCLR and NALEO to support their community initiatives. For example, he helped link Pepsi Cola with local governments to build Pepsi Playparks all over the country in underprivileged neighborhoods. His work also includes collaboration with MALDEF to promote Hispanic participation in the 1990 and the 2000 U.S. Census, as well as to promote legislation favorable to the community.

Roberto received his BBA in Finance from the University of Houston and his MBA from Thunderbird Graduate School of International Management. He sits on the Advisory Board of Taproot Foundation, a leader in pro bono services and the Advisory Board of the University of Arizona Terry J. Lundgren Center for Retailing.
